Kaʻahumanu Avenue to Experience Daytime Closures Next Week for Essential Water Line Repairs
KAHULUI, Hawai‘i – The Hawai‘i Department of Transportation (HDOT) has announced that both eastbound and westbound lanes of Kaʻahumanu Avenue (Route 32), specifically between Kāne Street and Lono Avenue, will undergo significant disruptions due to necessary water line repairs associated with the Maui Palms Hampton Inn project next week.
The closures will affect a section of the left-turn pocket and the left through lane in both directions on Kaʻahumanu Avenue. These lanes will be closed from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Monday, November 4, and potentially on Tuesday, November 5, if further work is required.
Motorists are advised to remain vigilant as signs and cones will be strategically placed to guide drivers through the area. It is crucial to exercise caution while navigating around construction workers to ensure everyone's safety.
